    mimi: lay off the glue. plus, chatrooms are harder to program, and much more load on your servers. not that i run the servers, but it's still more cost for me. for instance, instead of just showing a page with posts on it, i have to program a chatroom client in javascript which either does long polling (dangerous), or normal polling to check the server for new messages every second. this also makes it difficult to go back in history.

    some sort of hybrid might be cool where the guestbook only makes you do the retarded captcha thing once, and after that you get unlimited posts for the duration of a session. then the guestbook could auto-refresh via ajax every few seconds.

    this would make it easy to keep all the existing functionality but also add the auto-refresh with quick posting.

    another reason NOT to do this is that the site doesn't get enough traffic to get enough people on the guestbook at the same time to be interesting. mostly, you'd just be sitting there waiting for people to respond to your shit anyway.

    suffice to say while it may be a cool project, it's not something i have the time to build out ATM (that's "ass-to-mouth" not "at the moment").

    for now, if you have a lot to say, just do it all in one post (this isn't twitter). refer to the length of this post if you need some pointers. take care, thanks for writing!

    are you serious? the thing that you said about the socks...BS blink 182 wear dickies and half calf socks all the time and i noticed that NOFX wasn't in here? they are pretty legit when it comes to punk rock. Blink 182 is my favorite band but they didn't start punk? its a huge debate if it was the sex pistols in the UK or the ramones in the US. nobody knows and nobody cares as long as punk was started. watch the movie "SLC Punk" then you will know what your talking about when it comes to hair.
