nobody said anarchy was the problem. its just a stupid idea. forgive me, stupid for humans. ants seem to do well with it. humans don't have the capacity of selflessness, at least not the levels required to have a smoothly functioning society with no hierarchy.

THAT BEING SAID, capitalism is a great system that works well as long as it's regulated, leaning more towards the socialization of profits and services. communism and socialism are more ideas people aren't ready for.

what we have nowadays even i, a raving capitalist, don't like. as a good friend put it, companies are "capitalizing gains, socializing losses." at least in america, land of the bailed out, off-the-hook greedy fuckwads.

would anarchy solve this? would anarchy erase america's history of slavery and oppression? any country you look at has the same history. would anarchy mean anything different than the past 5000 years? or is it just another blanket we put over a problem that has it's roots deep set into the very fabric of mankind?

that's why i don't like anarchy. it solves nothing, it's just another reorganization that will end up the same way...someone getting pissed off, rallying other people, killing some more people, and it starts again. the cycle continues, and thousands die.

i'm pretty fucking glad i live in a place where it's ok to say "yeah the system sucks, but it's not much better anywhere else. stop your bitching and make something of it."

systems evolve, they can't just be replaced, and evolution takes a long-ass time. my philosophy is to not worry too much about changing things. be the change you want to see in the world, and if you do it well and honestly, others will follow. i can't see the justification behind convincing people they aren't free if i'm not liberated myself.

I agree with your characterization of freedom to the extent that it starts with oneself and that self-victimization is counter-intuitive to the goal of liberation.

That said, I have to question your grasp of history in explaining how anarchy 'sucks.' There are lots of idiots who latch onto anything and self-labelled anarchists are no exception. Large capitalist institutions and the modern state however, are very much not a formation of the majority of people simply opening their mouths and saying, "Gimme." They are in fact built upon a wide variety of atrocities committed throughout the modern era such as slavery, colonialism, usury, militarism, unequal trade, etc. etc. etc. It's all very well and good to say (correctly) that at present, people oppress themselves in the (over)developed world but you should ask yourself first how we got to this point before making anarchy or punks out to be the problem.

thats the thing...you have a problem with society, but under anarchy SOCIETY would be the same, but governed by a different set of rules. herein lies my point with anarchy. its not that i dont like the idea, its that the people who came up with the idea are as clueless as everyone else about how the world works.

only a handful of humans are ADVANCED enough to dispense of all forms of higher control, and usually only after many years of intense spiritual work.

Some of your website is pretty good, if not taken too seriously. It's too bad though that you seem to be strongly against anarchy... but it's your choice, both types of systems will have their good sides I believe anyway. I was just raised to become anarchist, and in my nature have more trouble to respect this society than the majority of you.

thank you to the creator of website.....good stuff....

"punks" arguing on the internet about issues is absolutely fucking comical, thank you for a decent read on a day where i didn't have to work both of my jobs to pay my bills.

people getting so defensive on the internet is indicative of only two things

    1) you're a complete tool
    2) you're attempting to defend an image that you're absolutely clinging to for some irrelevant sense of purpose.

p.s. I acknowledge I'm a complete tool for even responding here. it's all just too funny to see the 17 year olds defend an ideology they'll never know a thing about!!!!
