Feb 19, 2015 @ 2:53 am@sdf don't mistake my reasoning that humanity is not ready for an anarchic system with my complete disgust of capitalism in its current form and how it wreaks havoc on less privileged civilizations. the propaganda machine is so incredibly strong in the US (where I live, and yes, i am a well-off white male) that it's hard to even bring up these topics without being screamed out of the room for being a communist or unpatriotic. my country is actively sapping wealth from its citizens and putting it into the hands of companies that seek nothing more than more profit, at the expense of everyone on the planet due to complete resource consumption and destruction of the earth itself. the government even goes so far as to take over countries and set up puppet dictators that are pro-US-corporation so we can plunder the resources we want and leave a wake of destruction in our path.
it has to stop. while i don't think anarchy is the way, it's certainly a way of thinking i try to live up to personally.
it's the job of the privileged to help and provide for the needy. i think just about every religious leader will echo this. currently the privileged people of the world want to amass more and more while walling themselves away from the rest of the world and its problems. it cannot last forever, and i'd gladly give up a good amount of status and wealth to equalize things more.
as far as the article itself, keep in mind also that i it a long, long time ago and haven't looked at it in years. i didn't even know it was still linked from anywhere on the site. -

Feb 17, 2015 @ 4:08 amyo, so i was going through your links and saw the "anarchy" one and decided to read through it. i get that this whole website fosters satire, but i didn't think that that article was intended to be satirical. it's so easy for all of us leading half-decent lives (at least in the physical sense) to condemn anarchism/radicalism, but what about the lives of those without voices? (i'm going to assume you're pretty well off, considering you had the resources to put together this website). outside of the walled off capitalist state, there are people living in absolute destitution because of the economic fascism amerikkka holds over their heads. this isn't a philosophical problem fueled by teenage angst. this has to do with people in lower classes that have yet to realize their power. talk is cheap, and i totally understand that, and it's even cheaper when some privileged white dude is screaming "oppression", but please try to realize that anarchism is a valid ideology and educate yourself before you write a wildly misinformed article written with an inherent bias. this isn't intended to be hatefully written, although i can understand if you perceive it to be.
